I like the fall and think it's an incredibly nice season with much to offer.

But yes, I admit that sometimes you do not have the summer heat and relaxing days lazing on the beach. And I sometimes yearn for romantic picnics with love as a couple by the sea, throw the sandwich, playing in the sand and build sandcastles or taking a long walk at the water hand in hand.

Here are some more holiday pictures from our wonderful stay on Öland in the summer. Strand Hang, cozy lunch, visit the lighthouse on the southern Öland Long Jan, A and his little grandmother and an almost deserted beach!

We've been sick a few days and finally had enough time for our blog.

Last summer, we were again on Öland one week during the holiday ( Read here about Oland Travel HERE ). A has family on this wonderful island and we both love to holiday on Öland. Beautiful, peaceful, cozy and Fabulous!
Do we have any blog readers from Oland?

This year was our good friends Mike and Mia and visited us a few days on the island. Very nice! We took the opportunity to attend a concert at the castle and see the Killer Queen and after that it became Peter the Great. There was also a rainy trip to the lighthouse on the northern Öland, Eric Long, and more.

Oh how the days go by quickly, the wedding is really just around the corner. Much to be, I can kindly tell

When we were visiting my grandmother in Borgholm so we decided to go out and eat at the Harbour Office, which is down in the outer harbor. It was a bit of a family dinner when both grandmother, mother, M and L was cozy and very tasty.

Harbour Office has not been around that long, believe it is the third year they are open. The service is impeccable and the food is much better than many other places in Borgholm. Is easy to vacation areas, people eat just for those needs, and when supply is limited so take advantage of the restaurants there.
We are pleased that there is a really good place to eat in Borgholm anyways
Probably this is the best prospect in the entire Borgholm, if you are visiting, go there and eat.

We ate that night;
For an appetizer
- Oysters
- SOS
- Hummertortellini

To the main course:
- Surf and Turf
- Herring on sjömansvis
- Wendy Wargs fish stew
- Rack of lamb

Good morning all excited!
As previously announced, we were on the island of Öland in the last week and had a good time. My mother and her family are from Öland so it's a given destination in the summer. A little special feeling to come home to my grandmother in the summer I think.
Grandmother of care to everyone in her house is full and satisfied and it is always very good food when you're there. The first day it was served on;

- Crayfish
- Fish
- Potatoes
- Salad
- Ölandskex
- Cheese

The country-rain

Although this summer certainly had its sunny days, the Swedish summer has made itself felt again this year and some days have been raining off .. But really do not have days off rain for sure, there are lots of cozy things to make even a rainy day!

Good activities for rainy days the country is to make your own juice, and reinvigorate.
We decided to make homemade currant juice on the black and red currants. Pretty simple and very tasty!
Me and smallest sister sat on us opposite the southwest and went out on the lot to pick berries. Then there was juice cook all the way and and yes, it tastes really good with the extra juice you made all by yourself!

Recipe for currant juice:

This is needed:
Pick approximately 2l berries
3.4 cups water (often requires a bit more to black currants about 6 cups)
5 1/2 cup sugar per liter of juice, drained
1 pinch of sodium benzoate per liter of juice, drained

Here's how:
Clean and rinse. Boil water and add the berries, boil for 10 minutes. Stir a little. Pour bärmassn in silställning over a bowl and let sit for 30-40 minutes (until it stops dripping). Measure the juice to determine the amount of sugar. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer about 10 minutes so the sugar melts. Skim with ladle or spoon. Mix the sodium benzoate in a little warm juice and blada ago in the large amount of juice. Pour the juice into clean bottles and insert a screw cap on. Let cool and store in a cool place.

When we were in Grisslehamn, we wanted to celebrate the one month left until we're getting married. Every day there is a reason to celebrate, but this time was a little something extra. <3
Soon we will become husband and wife, baby!

We had booked a table at the newly open place in Grisslehamn named steamship pier. The steamboat pier is an island site with a good menu and the world's best location. When we got to the place we got our table immediately, one of the owners was our waiter for the evening. I think it's very nice to talk to people who are passionate about food and drink, even better if they're doing business by it :)


The evening in honor of us:
- Moules Marinieres a starter.
- Alex: Archipelago burgers on cod with aioli.
- Maxime: Caesar salad with shrimp.
- Dessert: Crema catalan.
- In the glass: Rosé bubble.

We were very pleased with both food and service, do you happen to pass by car or boat, I think really you should go there and eat! One plus was that most were "home-made", in other words, very little processed foods.

Sun, wind and water ...

This summer has been fantastic! Although there is now also been rainy weather so I guess that the summer of 2010 will remember the summer sun, sun and more sun and summer weddings acid also Victoria and Daniel, Zed and Emma, ​​secret Megan and Brian, and Orlando, and Miranda, etc. ...
